This type represents the commonly known "spot foreign exchange rate" between a given currency BASE (known as the base currency) and another given currency QUOTE (known as the quote currency.
More specifically, the rate here refers to the ratio BASE/QUOTE, which is a number that represents the number of QUOTE units having the same value as one BASE unit.

For example, if BASE = USD and QUOTE = JPY, the fx rate will represent the ratio USD/JPY, of which a possible ascribed
Quotable Value at some given time could be a number such as 125, which would mean that 125 JPY units have the same value as 1 USD unit.

Note you may create a
trivial object of type FX directly through a text entry that has the form: "%BASE/QUOTE|, like, for example, %USD|JPY, although such an object would not posess non-trivial calendars and settlements that might be preferably associated with the intended rate.
