Takt
Key Takt in Live Feeds Status refers to the desired time interval in seconds between successive full feed retrievals attempted with the reported live feeds provider.
Note that Deriscope enforces a minimum value of 1 second.
The actual average realized retrieval interval may be lower than the value here due to delays that may occur as described below.
Each full feed retrieval encompasses the acquisition from the provider's server of the feeds associated with all requested tickers.
It is realized either through a single or several fetch requests sent to the provider's server, until all tickers have been processed.
For example, Yahoo server can process up to 200 tickers per fetch request, which implies a single fetch request per takt interval for most cases.
Alpha Vantage server can process only one ticker per fetch request, which implies N separate fetch requests per takt interval, where N is the number of tickers.
Successive single fetch requests within a full feed retrieval attempt are timely spaced by the interval defined in Settings under Fetch Interval
Note that Deriscope will never send a new fetch request before the previous request has been fullfilled in order to avoid a bottleneck of pending requests by the provider's server.
This could result in a displayed Server Hit Rate that is lower than the one expected from the takt here.
