Currency is a Tradable that represents in Deriscope usage the commonly known "currency", viewed as an asset that may be traded just like any other asset.
It may be also described as a generally accepted form of money, which is issued by a government and circulated within an economy. Used as a medium of exchange for goods and services, currency is the basis for trade.
Currency is not limited to paper notes and coins. It also includes bank deposits when deemed as risk-free and immediately retrievable.
Apart from the existing currencies in circulation, like USD or EUR, Currency also allows the creation and usage of so called "custom currencies" with user-defined names.
Note you may create a
trivial object of type Currency simply through the text: %"xyz", where xyz is a reserved currency code such as USD or EUR.
